Since a very young age I've always liked to draw...Throughout school art was always my favourite lesson. I've recently finished my degree at Birmingham City University, Institute of Art and Design (BIAD). I graduated from my Textile Design degree with a pleasing 2:1. During my three year course I specialised in 'Printed Textiles.'

I regularly take part in local craft stalls, fairs and charity fundraising events. I have a real passion for what I do and find it overwhelming when people appreciate it too. I enjoy rummaging high and low at car boots and charity shops then incorporating my finds into my work. I love to sew, knit, shop, draw and be creative. In ten years I see myself with a quaint little shop, selling my products...my inspiration is Cath Kidston and dream to be as successful as her one day...Currently I'm based in Leicestershire on my mum and dad's dairy farm...where I have a studio set up in the old dairy...I have my kiln, workshop and all my charity shop finds surrounding me in and its where the magic happens...I like to take something old, change it and make it new. This is what I do with my second hand re-worked plates. I source them from charity shops and car boots then change them by sandblasting then and make them into something new.

I recently completed a commission that I was asked to do, it consisted of six handmade plates and six re-worked second hand...I had to produce drawings from photos of the family pet cats and create a collection of decorative plates...

I took part in a Christmas selling exhibition in Leicester. The exhibition was called 'Bazaar' and they contacted me after getting my details at New Designer 2008. The exhibition was listed in Selvedge magazine with a picture of my work...
